Lt Frank Maher MM (Lilydale), 2^nd Machine Gun Company: Arrives back in Australia from Europe on the HMAT Aeneas. In the 1920’s he went on to play football for Essendon, some as captain and coach, and coached both Fitzroy and Carlton at different times.
