Pte Percy Haddon (Seville), 46^th Battalion: While making tea in Bull Trench near Guedencourt, he was killed instantly during an artillery barrage by shell fire. One witness said he was ‘blown to pieces and was past recognition’. He is 24 years old and as he has no known grave he is remembered on the memorial at Villers-Bretonneux.
