Only when I was right against this huge structure did I appreciate the enormity of its construction, the effort and the cruelty that must have gone into the production and placing of those huge blocks of stone. Then of course I had to climb to the top of the pyramid. It really was not climbing but clambering, shoved and hoistered from behind by Abdul, and the view from the top was worthwhile’.
