Pte Isaac Davies (Kilsyth), 28^th Battalion: Is killed in action. He is 39 years old and as he has no known grave he is remembered on the memorial at Villers Bretonneux, France. Another brother, Frederick, would be killed in action in 1918.

Pte Cliff Wardell (Lilydale), 31^st Battalion: Is wounded in action, shell shock, and is evacuated to hospital in France.
