Trp James Rushton (Lilydale), 9^th Light Horse Regiment: Leaves Australia bound for Egypt on HMAT Botanist.

Harry Linacre (Seville): Born in Liverpool, England he had come out to Australia a few years earlier and at the time of enlisting in the AIF he was working for Mr Murray of Seville as a carpenter. He was 23 years old and engaged to a local girl, Elsie Mitchell. He had already served four years with the 9^th Kings Liverpool Regiment and had been rejected once by the AIF on account of his teeth.
